Not only will a lens bring traffic to a site from other people on Squidoo but people who find the lens searching the web can also then be directed to the site.

One extra benefit of social media marketing is that the person creating the social network profile or Squidoo lens has control over the links they place on the profile or lens. This means the links can point to the desired page of the site being promoted and can have customized text based on the page of the site that is linked to. This is a very valuable benefit for SEO purposes.
